This settlement on the edge of the Girdan Hills is the largest collection of dwarves in the Shrouded Lands that still makes contact with the outside world. It was settled some 150 years ago by refugees from the Khaz Barduk and its surroundings. Walls of earth, laboriously hacked from the hills and reinforced with stone, surround the town, and nearly half the town is underground, as dwarves and the occasional halfling burrow into the hills to escape the Shroud.
It is, overall, a grim and humorless place, and is made more so by the near-constant attacks on the town. The town was settled along the old trade road between Khaz Barduk and the human-settled south, but now finds itself between a rock and a hard place, in easy raiding distance of the bandits and savage humanoids of the Girdan Hills on one side and the great predatory beasts native to the forest of Dael Sorantir on the other.
